Spring Wave 2015 Music Festival Cancelled due to Worsening Haze Conditions

SINGAPORE, 29 SEPTEMBER 2015 – In light of the worsening and persistent haze situation in Singapore, Friendly Dog Entertainment Co., Ltd regrets to inform that Spring Wave 2015 Music Festival, which was to take place on 10 October 2015 at Fort Canning Green, will be cancelled.

The health, safety and well-being of concert-goers, artistes, partners and staff, which includes the young and old, are the utmost priority of the event organiser in the decision making of an outdoor event.

In an effort not to disappoint festival fans, Friendly Dog Entertainment Co., Ltd has tried to source for alternative venues but is unable to find a suitable indoor venue to host the festival and thus, have made this decision in the interest of public safety.

“While we recognise and appreciate all the work that has gone to the preparations in organising the festival, we knew that this decision will disappoint fans, but hope that they can appreciate the decision we have to make,” Mr Kuang-Yuan Shen, Founder of Friendly Dog Co., Ltd says. “At the same time, we want to thank fans and partners for the continuous support we had for the past two concerts and will look forward to your support in our future events.”

Those who have purchased tickets for Spring Wave 2015 can get in touch with ticketing agents for refund policies.

  1. Will the festival be back next year (2016)?

  1. Now that this festival is cancelled, when will the artistes be performing live again?

Please check the artistes’ official websites for details of their next live performances. Alternatively, please check www.spring-wave.com for more information on our upcoming festivals.

  1. Why did you not postpone the festival instead of cancelling it?

The festival was designed in an outdoor concert format featuring 5 artistes. It was difficult to secure a similar venue which would create the same atmosphere within a short period of time where all the artistes could commit their time to perform live.

We have been monitoring the news in Singapore and have exhausted other alternatives before coming to this decision.

Hence it is with deep regret that we have to cancel the festival this time round. We want to thank you for your support and hope to see you at our future festivals.

  1. I have more questions, who should I contact?

Should you have more queries about the cancellation of this event, please get in touch with us at +886 2356 9888. Please note that our office is currently closed on 29 September 2015 due to the typhoon season but will reopen on 30 September 2015.
